Day 1 -Guwahati
On Arrival at Guwahati airport our representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. (Taj
Vivanta or similar)
After checking-in and freshening up visit Kamakhya Temple (India’s largest Shaktipeeth) (30 mins
visit) followed by Gandhi Mandap (10am-6pm) (if time permits)
Evening free for Lesiure – stroll around fancy bazaar –“Chandni Chowk of Guwahati”/paltan bazaar
Enjoy a sumptuous dinner at a well-known restaurant (for traditional Assamese food – Khorikaa
restaurant suggestion) before heading back to the hotel.

Day 2- Drive to Shillong (98 kms – 2 hours 45 mins from Guwahati)
After breakfast visit Umananda temple by ferry on Brahmaputra River. Temple located on Peacock
Island, world’s smallest inhabited island.
Return and check-out and drive towards Shillong via Umiam lake (man-made lake on way)

Day 3 – Sightseeing in Shillong
After an early breakfast, proceed towards Laitlum Canyons (45 mins drive from Shillong). After that
visit Ward’s Lake and Lady Hydari Park (also known as Phan Nonglait Park).
Post Lunch (on your own) head towards Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians (also known as
Laithumkhrah Church). Also visit Shillong peak and view-point, Elephant falls (if time permits) and
Don Bosco Museum (if time permits)
In the evening, drive past and get a glimpse of Grand Madina Masjid (located in Laban, Shillong short
distance from Police Bazaar, India’s only glass mosque).

Day 4 – Drive to Cherrapunjee
After breakfast, proceed to Cherrapunjee. On way visit Dwan Sing Syiem Bridge and View point and
Dainthelen Falls.
Lunch at Orange Roots (Sohra, Cherrapunjee) – suggested – thali
Post Lunch Visit Seven Sister Falls and Mawsmai Caves (natural limestone caves, 4 kms from
Cherrapunjee, time to see-1 hour approx..)
Overnight at Cherrapunjee Hotel
Day 5 – Drive to Shillong Mawlynnong and Dawki
After breakfast visit the Living root bridge at Riwai, whch is 8 kms from Mawlynngong. From Riwai
car park, the root bridge is 100 steps, 15 min trek.
From here proceed towards Mawlynnong (cleanest Village in Asia).
After seeing this amazing village head towards the Dawki River (crystal clear river water lake) near
the Indo-Bangladesh Border. Have an amazing boat ride that makes you feel you are floating on a
transparent glass surface.
Post the boat ride, drive past the border towards Shillong (3 hours).

Day 6 – Last Day
After breakfast, check-out, drive to Guwahati and fly back home

Falls and Thadlaskein Lake.
(other places on way if time permits- Jarain Pitcher Plant Lake which sits calmly in the midst of
gravelled footpaths, pitcher plant garden, arch bridges and greenhouse, Deepest Umlawan Cave,
Syntu Ksiar, Krangsuri falls, Stone Bridge built by under the orders of the Jaintia King)

Day 7– Last Day
After breakfast, check-out, drive to Guwahati and fly back home

Day 6 – Kaziranga
After early breakfast, drive to Kaziranga (5.5 hours) National Park, the home of the One Horn Indian
Rhinoceros. Check in at your hotel/Lodge/resort. Evening you may visit Orchid Park and the nearby
Tea Plantations.
Overnight at Kaziranga
Day 7 – Kaziranga
Early morning explore the Western Zone of Kaziranga National Park on the back of an elephant -
Elephant Safari (5am and 6 am slots) – (Optional)
Return to the resort for breakfast. Post Lunch (1 pm) head for Jeep Safari through the Central Zone
of the National Park. Evening come back to the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 8- Last day
Check-out post breakfast and drive to Guwahati (4.5 hours)
Fly back home with happy memories!
