Prashar Lake with Tunga Mata trek

For this long Good-Friday weekend we have planned a trek to Tunga Mata temple from the famous Prashar lake. This would be an easy to moderate graded trek perfect for people who want to get an idea of what it feels to trek in the Himalayas.
We start this trek on the Thursday evening meaning you can reach for this after work hours.
We will be back to Delhi by night Sunday so that all could resume work on the Monday morning only to boast about the trek they just did...!!
Below mentioned is the complete itinerary of the Prashar lake & Tunga Mata trek.


29th March & 30th March (Thu & Fri) – Drive from Delhi to Baggi (450kms drive/ 12 to 13 hours) to Prashar (trek for 2hrs/ 3kms)

We start by evening after dinner by 8pm to arrive at Mandi by 9 am. We have breakfast and a short briefing and drive to Baghi (26 kms from Mandi). From here we have drive for an additional 20 mins to reach the starting point of our trek. From here after lunch we trek for about 2 hours and reach Prashar lake campsite. Here we pitch our tents for the night and have an early sleep.

31st March (Sat) – Trek to Tunga Mata (3000 metres) and return to Prashar lake (2700 metres) (12kms)

We start at about 6.30am in the morning and move towards Tunga Mata temple. This is a 6 to 7kms one way trek. We start the trek over the ridge that leads us straight to the foot of the temple. We trek through the rhododendron forests for about an hour. A steep ascend at the end takes us to Tunga Mata temple.

We get views of the Deo tibba (6000 metres), Indrasan (6220 metres), Inder Quila, Hanuman tibba on this day. The temple is surrounded by the Pir Pinjal range, Dhauladhar range and the Manikaran sides.

After having lunch, we retrace our steps back to Prashar Lake. Reach the camp by 6pm and rest for the rest of the evening.

01st April (Sun) – Trek to road (1hr 30mins/ 3kms) to Delhi (450 kms/ 11 to 12 hours)
We plan to start by 8am from Prashar so that we reach the road by 9.30am. We start the drive from here to Delhi directly. By 10pm we reach Delhi at the drop location.

Prashar lake – 2700 metres – Tunga Mata – 3000 metres
Cost – INR 7875/- per person (Delhi to Delhi for a minimum of 8 people)

Camping – Fri – in tents (1st night) with clean and hygienic sleeping bags

Travels – Thu – Delhi to Baggi drive (430kms)
Sun – Baggi to Delhi drive (430kms)
2 guide for the group of maximum 12-14 trekkers. Generally it is 1 guide to about 6 members.
All our guides are professionally trained and have many years of relevant experience in guiding treks.

Cancellation Policy:
We put in our efforts and some money to block the best of manpower, campsites, permits and permissions for all of our treks. Understanding that last minute cancellations might happen from our trekkers end due to any reasons, we offer the following solutions as per days left in hand.
45 Days: Full refund (after deducting any expenses that have been incurred for hotel bookings, transport, etc.
30-45 Days: 75% of trip cost will be refunded (after deducting any expenses that have been incurred for hotel bookings, transport, etc.
15-30 Days: 50% of trip cost will be refunded (after deducting any expenses that have been incurred for hotel bookings, transport, etc.
15 Days: No refund
